Hi, I´m Rodrigo B 2C.This is because it is a salty lake and then the density of the person is lower, this provoked that the person can float on the river without using their hands. Also it can be because they are very fat and then thanks of the fat they float.

ResponderEliminarI think this pass because the lake is salty so the density is bigger. Knowing that our body is mostly composed of water. It could be that their density is smaller so they float.
Also could be that isn`t deep so they touch the floor with their feet.
Other reason is that they are laying and the water has superficial tension so you keep up like a clip.

ResponderEliminarEl lago Epecuén es salado, el agua salada es más densa que el agua dulce. La densidad influye en la flotabilidad.
La gente estaba flotando gracias a la densidad alta provocada por la cantidad de sal

It is said that this high quantity of salt was produced by the tears of a princess (Tripantu) who cried for Epecuen.

ResponderEliminarEste fenómeno ocurre gracias a la gran cantidad de sal contenida y disuelta en el lago, por lo que aumenta su densidad y por eso el lago puede mantener a tantas personas flotando.

Pudo ser que en Argentina flotaran más personas que en Taiwan porque:
- La convocatoria tuvo más éxito en Argentina.
y/o
- El agua en Argentina era más salada y su mayor densidad provocaba una fuerza de empuje ascendente sobre los cuerpos mayor que en Taiwan de acuerdo con el principio de Arquímedes.

La razón por la que pueden flotar fácilmente, haciendo más sencillo el récord, es la mayor densidad del agua del lago provocada por la sal disuelta en ella (se trata de un lago salino). El principio de Arquímedes permite saber que si la densidad del agua es mayor que la del cuerpo sumergido éste flotará. Si aumenta la densidad, por salinidad en este caso, la flotabilidad será mayor.
